Developmental Adapted Physical Education Leadership Committee MN - DAPE
The Minnesota DAPE Leadership Committee is a volunteer group of education professionals with a mission to serve individuals concerned with quality physical education for students with disabilities.
The State Leadership Committee is comprised of representatives from Minnesota Dept. of Education; Higher Education; selected At-Large Members and DAPE Teachers from that represent educational regions through out the state. The committee serves as an extension of and support network for the DAPE Council of Minnesota Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MNAHPERD).
The MN DAPE Leadership Committee provides a vehicle for advocacy, resource development, professional development and planning and implementation strategies for DAPE policy and programs at the state and local levels. The Committee works cooperatively with the MN Dept. of Ed. and MNAHPERD.
Three major areas of focus provide the platform for planning and action: Program Planning and Implementation, Resources and Advocacy, Pre-service and In-service.
